    баланс
    Общее понятие, отражающее метод изучения тех или иных экономических явлений путем сопоставления или противопоставления показателей, характеризующих разные стороны этих явлений. Например, бухгалтерский баланс фирмы или иного института [balance sheet] включает в себя, с одной стороны, активы (средства, находящиеся во владении), с другой – пассивы (сумму обязательств), а также чистую стоимость капитала (суммарные активы за вычетом пассивов) на определенный момент времени. Государственный бюджет строится в виде баланса денежных доходов и расходов государства. Применяются также материальные балансы (в частности, см. Эколого-экономические модели), балансы труда и др. См. Балансовая модель, Балансовый метод. Некоторые балансы: Баланс банка — таблица, состоящая из двух частей: слева записываются активы банка, справа — его пассивы. В газетах регулярно публикуются такие таблицы, по ним читатели могут удостовериться, как в целом идут у банка дела (в целом, потому что детально, без ошибок об этом можно судить только по результатам глубокой проверки банка специалистами, аудиторами). Приведем упрощенную структуру баланса коммерческого банка.
